AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL?

So as we know gas prices are going in up in another sporadic tantrum resembling that of the queen of hearts. It has recently come to my attention that this is due to speculation by the CFTC. This is what Nancy Pelosi had to say on the matter:

“What’s happening about the price at the pump is very interesting,” Pelosi said in her weekly press conference. “Supply is going up, demand is going down, and the price is going up,” she said, referring to recent data to that effect.

“So how do you explain that?” Pelosi asked. “You explain it by recognizing that Republicans are protecting Wall Street speculators responsible for driving up the pain at the pump.”

While I cannot confirm or deny with factual evidence that this is the case, it seems likely. There is no reason, based on the facts, that we should be paying $3.72 a gallon for gas. We have plenty and majority is from AMERICA, so OPEC isn’t even effect on this. It is extremely upsetting that we are taken advantage of so easily. It is instances like this that cause recessions and slow the economic recovery process. Wall street is nothing but a parasite that feeds on the misfortune of others. Until something is done to regulate corporations and trading, things like this will continue to occur. I am not for, and do not endorse that the government tell corporations how to run a business; I am for the placement of rules and guidelines (that actually have consequences of importance) be enacted to protect individuals and the public at large from these harmful actions.
